Jason, Shaylee, Zoey, Beck, Colby & Talia: Washington DC

This weekend we went to Washington DC for a little vacation and "business." Jason attended an Army conference that gave some good information on residencies and other things associated with being a medical professional in the Army. We got there saturday evening so we just got something to eat, swam, and went to bed. Zoey has been learning a lot in the pool lately! She started putting her face in (Beck does that now too) jumping off the side and swimming without her arm floats! We are so proud of her!

Sunday we went to the National Zoo. It was such a beautiful day and the kids loved all the animals! They were pretty beat afterwards! We also got to see our friends from Jason's class who live in Leesburg (about an hour away from where we stayed)! They came to our hotel to swim and visit with us! We were so glad to see them! Zoey was pretty excited to see them too!

Monday we swam some more while Jason was at his conference. We got a good nap in so we could head straight to the museum of natural history when Jason got done. Zoey kept saying "are these dead animals?" She really liked the bears and the butterflies. Beck just kept pointing and saying "oooo!" and "ohhhh!" He loves animals. After we got done there we ate at an amazing pizza place! It was such a fun trip and to top it off we had a beautiful drive home.
