Labor Day Weekend

This weekend our good friends Spencer and Amy came up from Lewisburg to visit us!! We love having them come up! It is a 4 hour drive and I am so grateful they are willing to do it:)  Anyway we watched lots of movies, went to pittsburgh for a day, church, and frisbee golf!  In pittsburgh we went to the duquesne incline and  overlook... SO pretty!

After the incline we headed to Southside Works, its a shopping/dining district just across the river from downtown pittsburgh.  It was nice and had tons of shops!  We spent most of our time in REI, but didn't come out with much.  We also spent a lot of time at the fountains for Zoey and Beck! We started out having Zoey run through the "dry" paths, but eventually we just let her get soaked because we just happened to have an extra outfit for her:) Beck on the other hand was feeling a little jealous he couldn't get in so we just let him be a little ghetto baby (diaper only)! The things we do for our kids!! jk!  Zoey really enjoyed herself, but Beck didn't seem as thrilled.

This is how she ended up...soaking wet!

We went to a place called Fat Heads to eat.  It was pretty delicious!  They had sandwiches that are called headwiches because they are roughly the size of your head! We walked around a little more, got some gelato and headed home! A long, but very good day!

The next day we went to church (Jason had to go to work) it was nice to have Spencer and Amy to help with the kids! The rest of the day we lounged around, went on a sunday walk, played ticket to ride, and had roast and potatoes for dinner.  Monday we went to Grandvue park and played frisbee golf! SO fun! Beck and Zoey loved it too!  I forgot my camera so no pictures of that.

Earlier in the week we signed Zoey up for dance class and got her all set up with a leotard, tights, shoes, etc... She loves her "dancin' shirt" and wants to wear it all the time! She slept in it and even asked if she could swim in it! Funny girl! She also wanted to wear her new shoes with it... not a good combo!  We also did some fun little experiments to keep her entertained this week (baking soda and vinegar) it kept her attention for a good 45 min and she LOVED it! It took her a minute to figure out the medicine dropper and how to suck up the vinegar, but she finally got it:)
